I've applied here for nursing, can anybody tell me what the course is like? My boyfriend lives in Preston and whenever I've been up to see him I've had a nosy round and the facilities (general uni ones) look amazing, how is the union etc? Which are the best halls to be in and round about how much will accommodation set me back for second and third year when I have to move out? Any other general information I need to know? Thanking you kindly!

The union is really good. It may be smaller than some unions, but its got what you need and the services it provides are spot on. 53 Degrees (the club) has just had loads spent on it to improve it. They put some really good nights on. There Source as well which is the union bar. There's something on every night there, does great food as well.
Accommodation wise, it depends how much you want to spend. You don't get a choice of which halls, its either shared (£69) or en suite (£79). I'm in Eden which is shared and I really like them. Its whether or not you mind sharing a bathroom with 5 others. You can always go for private halls as well, prices vary for those. Or if you really want to, a shared house. Though I know a few people in first year who are in houses and wish they were in halls.

Second year accommodation, rent ranges from about £40 to £90. There's houses just off campus, though some are abit of a walk. You can go into prvate halls as well (which is what I might be doing with my friends) which means you can stay on campus. It depends how much you want to be around people.

Well I've just left Lampeter where you can stay in halls right through your degree, and finallists get priority for them along with freshers, so I stayed on campus for both years I was there. I had a house for third year but I left. I don't mind sharing a bathroom because I had to before, but there's no denying an en suite would be bloody lovely.
