There were some bits of the programme when my mum was nearly in tears because my brother's autistic and we could relate to it so much. I'm pleased they showed autistic people with different levels of ability because no 2 people have autism in the same way.

Louis was so good with the kids, if i was him i'd find it hard to not want to have something to do with helping them in the future!

Could not have been better timed for me. Assignment on autism to do and one on Dementia care too which happens to be the next episode. I love Louis and saw his doc on the Nazis earlier (on youtube it's free to watch).

The kid who just wanted to eat and was playing dominoes looked like he could have been fathered by Louis. Also, lol when the kid hugged Louis.

I only sort of know one autistic person so, yeah, that programme really opened my eyes. :yep:

I was thinking that, couldn't help but think he could relate to him. :rofl2: That hug was so awkward. Nicky was great though, all the languages he knew, including Hindi. :adore:

Currently got Louis Theroux documentaries on whilst I get through a stack of revision at crazy o'clock.

The autism one was so insightful.

I love how he doesn't butt in when people are talking like so many other interviewers and just lets it all play out.

Plus, I find that he's quite easy on the eye

Another good show from Louis; a bit sad though. Hope he doesn't keep us waiting too long for his next show

Just watched the documentary on Dementia and I thought it was so well done.

It was sad but like Louis said, at time there was humour in the relationships and he was sure not to just focus on the negative aspects of the peoples lives. I thought John was amazing the way he looked after his wife and I was close to tears at the end when she said 'I love you' to him. :ahee: Ahhh, I love Louis Theroux, he has a way of being sensitive whilst at the same time extracting as much information and insight as possible without being overbearing.

The two 'Extreme Love' shows have been so interesting, yet really rather depressing. I felt so sorry for the woman with the two autistic kids... She must have such a hard life. Are there more in this series? Does anyone know? For some reason I feel like it's made of up 3 episodes, but I don't know where I got that from (I might have made it up). If it is, does anyone know what the last one's about? I love a bit of Louis!

That's a bummer Though I read he's done a(nother) documentary on pornography, which is going to be broadcast in June. Not long to wait! Hope he has another cameo role, haha.

Aye, when that guy went to visit his mother and she eventually kissed him and he was like "This is tough, but moments like that is why I come to visit." :adore: It was the same with the very old couple, when the woman was affectionate, he said all the caring made it worth it. Great moments.

I think the second one was more depressing for me, just the way some of them in the latter stages were unable to recognise their loved ones that was depressing and, if not, they were aware that that time would eventually come. :nopity: Really interesting, though.

Yep... That happened to my great gran. My grandparents were paying loads to keep her in this nursing home, and she didn't even recognise them She used to tell them to bugger off and stuff. It was horrible.

I have nothing against autistic people and that... but this seems like a poor editing decision

Yay, new Louis on June 10th at 10pm - Twilight of the Porn Star... Going to be about how the industry is suffering because of free porn websites, should be interesting!

No doubt will it be fantastic, but if it is anything like the last one he did on porn, it will certainly be really creepy.
