Default Photography A-Level Question

Basically, planning on taking a year out next year after A-Levels, for health reasons, and wondering whether Photography A-Level is do-able from home in a year, while still being a student at my school. Just thought it would be nice to A) Pass the time and B) Have a fourth A-Level. Can't believe I'm thinking of fourth A-Level when I haven't revised for my current January exams. Only problem is is the whole dark room thing, could I produce the photos at home? And how much time is needed to be spent in class?

EDIT: To add, I have a little sister who I could do the messingering for me.

Heya, I do photography A-Level, Actually ridiculously hard when you get into the scientific aspect of the entire thing.
Essentially, if you're told what to do it isnt hard to research it and copy and paste from the internet as it is entirely coursework based but you would need to spend out a hefty amount of money on equipment. It can also take a long time for the write ups (my entire coursework last year was edging 400 pages). The dark room stuff, as far as i know. isn't NECESSARY, but is good to have. but you cant do dark room at home, only the research on it!

ill reply =)...yes it is do-able from home...it would be helpful to produce a few film photographs in a dark room..but im in A2 now and ive only used 2 film photographs this term...nearly everythings been digital. You'll definitely need photoshop though and be prepared for a hell of a lot of writing up...i.e. photographer research, generating ideas, development and explanations of techniques used etc.....

good luck =D

I am just about to finish my first year in photography and have found it really hard theres a lot of course work, and as far as i know you don't really need dark room i did a page saying how it was done bit if you wanted to do it you could always but the equipment and use your bathroom or somthing, if you can apply your self to working and focuse on the course work you should be fine but it is time consuming and hard hope you make the right choice
