dunna :no:
Well, you've got:

x^4 - 7x^2 + 12 = 0

This is the same as:

(x^2)^2 - 7(x^2) + 12 = 0

If we let y = x^2, this is the same as

y^2 - 7y + 12 = 0

Do you know what to do now?

Solve the equation
y27y+12=0y^2-7y+12=0
ans~(y4)(y3)(y-4)(y-3)
y=4or3y=4 or 3

hence solve the equation
x47x2+12=0x^4-7x^2+12=0
Stuck with this part....

You'll have to make a substitution to do the second part.

e.g:x2=ye.g: x^2 = y

method and solutions...
