Default Ernst & Young spring internship

Ok....i'm considering doing this 2 week stint of work experience at Easter .....though i'm doing it for my CV really if i'm honest.....because i don't actually study Accounting - i study Law at LSE. I'm assuming working in such a corporate environment would look good for when i apply for city law firms?!

But the website doesn't make clear when the application deadline is? does anyone know?

And it also doesn't make clear if there are interviews for this work experience? and if so when? i know there are for the big summer internship but it's not really clear about the easter work experience.

And because i'm studying law, am i at a disadvantage?

thanks for any help!!!

No absolute deadline - but once the places are filled, they're filled, so apply ASAP!

I'm not sure, to be honest - though I'd be surprised if there weren't

AFAIK the internship you're talking about is 3-day-long. I asked them but I'm not sure as I can't access my uni inbox right now so can't check the answer but I think I remember it correctly.

If it's really that important for you to know, rather than just waiting to see what they ask of you, why not email them and ask? Can I ask why you're so concerned about it?

quite good piece of advice well... i guess all they do is a phone interview. at least I was told that during some presentation but it might have been PwC. Anyway I don't think they would spend money/time/rooms on interview for only 3-day programme.

Just got rejected from the E&Y spring program. They said this:

Unfortunately, after carefully considering the information you provided,
we do not feel that you have the strengths we are looking for at this
stage.
Does anybody know what strengths are the looking for?

In my opinion its not so much about actually possessing strengths anyway, rather managing to convey what they want to hear through the application.

I applied Saturday I think and got the rejection on Monday. I applied to the Manchester office, Corporate finance for 1st choice and Tax for 2nd choice if I remember correctly.
As for those E&Y values, well anybody could bs their way in by saying they have those....and I unfortunately was unsuccessful at that.
