Yep, I had my interview there last week, but many of my friends sent their applications and apparantly St.Doms didn't even recieve some applications. You should probably just phone in and check if your application was recieved, as even people from my school who weren't offered interviews recieved letters saying that their applications were recieved and they are under consideration. Just give St.Doms a ring to check.

ok so, i'm not applying there or anything but just as a tip, don't prepare your answers too much as this will sound fake or bad, they will be able to tell if you've prepared them or not....

oh yh, u should take a portfolio (if u have 1) with any certificates and stuff in, it'll look good 2 show all ur extra-curricular stuff, just out of interest are you in the aquious building 4 the interview and doing a science subject?

Did you even get an interview at Woodhouse? I sware your predicted grades were really good. You shouldnt need to bring any files or anything to show them. Good luck!

my interview is in the aquinas building tomorrow at 4:45pm...even though all my subjects are history and english based i swear aquinas is science =/
oh god im really nervous! im so glad my cousin goes there so i know someone! and half my school will be there too :|

nope I don't know anyone with a rejection from woodhouse except myself! my friend got an interview, and she's got worse predicted grades than me o_O

Aww thanks...yeah they weren't bad, and a lot of people with worse ones have gotten interviews....I'm just guessing they rejected my offer because I sent it so last minute! (I live only 15 minutes away from Woodhouse as well).

...i'm in the process of making my portfolio right now

like awards, D of E, Maths certificates etc.

Should I take an art sketchbook too? and a school report?

I'm in hume, and I'm doing chemistry but thats my only science (the others are Art, English, Maths and French).

What were you predicted grades out of interest? Most people with ones lower than mine still got in....I think the fact I gave it so late+ have already changed school once might be the reason?

• Why do you want to come to St. Dominic’s?

• What would it offer differently to your current school?

• Why have you already changed, and what are your reasons for changing again?



• Personality – ability to meet deadlines? (If mentioning any weaknesses, show how you have improved on them e.g. with coursework deadlines)

• How is religion important in your daily life? Any community activities etc. you do?

• What general extra-curricular activities do you do? (Awards e.g. DofE etc.) Hobbies?



• What are you reasons for your subject choices, and how do they relate to your chosen course? (Show that you have researched Uni Entry requirements, can mention specific ones that will let you in for that degree with your given A-Level choices).

• Do you know what you want to pursue as a career/uni course, and why?

• Have you done any related work experience?

• How would St. Dom’s benefit you in your intentions?

• (Getting to the college – easily accessible route)?

Just seen your predicted grades- you've got an excellent shot at St Doms. It isnt important that you missed the open day and sorry, I can't really help you about the question about religion, I don't remember them asking me anything like that.

just had my interview, went quite well actually, was told there was no reason not to be accepted (good answers, excellent portfolio, good ectra curricular sports etc...) does anyone know when the final decisions will be made. Ice dragoness- did you have urs in the hall or aquinas???

they asked to confirm the info on my application form, and what I wanted to study in uni. She also asked why I wanted to go to doms and what I would give back to the college. They all seem really friendly there so don't worry Oh, and make sure you take your record of achievements. good luck
