Hi

What are the job prospects like for maths and computer science? Or is there more of an advantage to study straight maths?

Very good, it's if anything a more demanding course than both Computer Science and Maths individually, as typically in a joint honours course you end up doing 60% of the Maths course and 60% of the Comp Sci course.. Which results in lots of people switching to either one or the other after their first year :P.

Have no problem getting a good job with a 2.1 or higher in M & CS from a top 10 uni I'm sure..

60 / 60 !? :s-smilie:

I'm trying to decide whether to do Maths and Comp Sci (Warwick) or MMath (Warwick)

I'd recommend Maths with CompSci, but only to show that you can apply your knowledge to another topic or subject area.

But I'm biased; I'm applying for CompSci lol

Computer Science!!! :p:
I'd go joint honours, I really regret not doing joint honours Maths/Comp Sci.

(I started as straight maths, switched to CS, probably should have done a combination of the two)
