Increased poverty
Easier travelling resulting in infections being transferred
Environmental conditions such as pollution
Conflicting scientific reports (MMR Vaccine being linked to autism) and parents not vaccinating children

Hope this helps, all I could think of, not an easy question.

1)Vaccination programmes such as those run by WHO to immunise infants in developing countries. More of these have come into action, preventing deaths.
2)A lot of countries have gotten more prosperous and so have improved healthcare.
3) Better education on using protection in developed countries,so less chance of HIV occuring-and so a lesser chance of these infections being transferred to infants.

11:30 at night and I really can't think of anymore:sleep:

Hope that helped anyway
