University In The United States

Hi I am wondering whether anyone on the forum may able to help me. I am currently in my first year of A Levels and I am very interested in going to America for university.

The problem is that I have no clue of how to apply to an American University and when to do so. Also I would like to know what requirements american universities have.

I come from a pretty low income background and currently attend a school which has a 20% pass rate but I have been able to work hard and get reasonably good grades. People from my school don't even make it to a local uni let alone an american one so we don't get much advise on internation universities. I would also like information of financial information and how much it would roughly be to do higher education in the states.

It's a completely different system to the UK. I went on a School trip for prospective students to Harvard. I didn't apply but I saw a bit of the system :biggrin:
