What would your other GCSEs be? If you're planning on taking Sports Studies in place of something like History (when you're capable of it), then I imagine so. If you really want to do it, I'd take it on as an extra, but it's perhaps not the most...rigorous of subjects.

Your A Levels are far more important than your GCSEs. I strongly doubt they will look down on you for one of your 6-11 GCSEs. You'll be fine

I kind of regret it, but i will most likely get an A and as it is only one of about 11 or so they won't really mind. And thanks for that piece of reassurance.

Probably not, so long as your other GCSEs are "balanced" (i.e. humanity, language etc.)
What others are u taking?

No, not if it's one of many. As long as you can show you're well-rounded, that's the main thing.

It really won't worry them. They expect people to do out-of-the-ordinary subjects, as lots of schools force kids into doing them.

Oh, that should be absolutely fine then! They like variety anyway
If anything they're probably gonna be more concerned for A-Level that you've taken the "core" subjects according to the course ur planning to take for Uni, Oxford and Cambridge in particular.

any idea if you want to continue it for A - level? (I still haven't decided mine o_O)

No worries. Just work hard and be sure to nab a grade and a half for your GCSE Mathematics

They don't care what you take as long as you have English, Maths and Science (which are compulsory) - GCSEs are chosen in year 9, I can't imagine them penalising people for decisions they made at 13/14 years old!

Mm, my school did that to us in a roundabout way. We were given choices in blocks, and one of the blocks was full of subjects like Food Technology, Resistant Materials etc. subjects viewed as non-academic [on this forum at least].

Yeah, most schools do that. But tbh, i think people are thinking into it too much. You're not going to get rejected from Oxford on your GCSE subjects.. it's gonna be on something else.

Oh I agree that people are thinking into it too much.
My downfall with Oxford wasn't my GCSE subjects [most probably my GCSE grades though] - I was just giving an example of how people can be 'forced' into taking a particular subject/type of subject. =]
