Default Differential equations
 
HELP! im doing revision for C4 and just realised i remember nothing on how to do differential equations

If you have an equation in the form

dy/dx = f(x)g(y)

Then you can solve it by noting that

\int \frac{1}{g(y)} \mathrm{d}y = \int f(x) \mathrm{d}x

That's about it really (the above is called separating the variables).

Sucks to be you. Find your C4 textbook. Read it. Do some questions.

The only type of differential equation you'll get on C4 papers, if memory serves, are ones which require you to separate the variables. The wikipedia page isn't too bad.
