Im just wondering whether anyone would be able to tell me from experience if there are any products that improve a complexion enough to make a noticeable difference... ie. completely clear....

Clerasil is really harsh I think so I avoid anything like that. Just really concentrate on keeping your skin clean and use face masks regularly. I tend to get the odd spot out break every now and again but I find that it is best to just deal with it when it comes (concealer, etc.) rather than to use any products as they will make skin worse before they get better!

Just wash your face with hot water and a light face wash, simple brand is good (no fragrance, good for sensitive skin)
I never used to get spots whilst in high school but i've started getting them recently so when I get an outbreak of spots, put toothpaste on them overnight (dries them out a bit) then use freederm (reduces redness)

After I've taken off my make-up and washed my face at night, before bed, I put on LOADS of thick moisturiser* (like nivea or similar). In the morning, ta da ... glowing skin.

*Sounds stupid and counterproductive, but try it just one night and you'll see the difference.

Natural hot springs? I didn't know they helped for complexion. All those times I've declined going to the hot springs just out of town...

In the evening, use a facial wash (I use a Sanctuary one) and then probably a makeup wipe under the eyes, and then moisturise (I find this really makes a difference). Then in the morning just shower, I don't actually apply any products then - read somewhere that it is more important to cleanse your face in the evening because your pores open up at night and that's how you get spots etc. Also, the Pill really helped me so perhaps go on that and as little foundation as is necessary, although I do understand sometimes you just have to use it!

Hope this helped!

Go to the doctors and ask for a cream or gel that has benzoyl peroxide in. They would probably give you something containing that in anyway. It works amazingly.
