University application and module retakes

Hi,

I'm a second year college student taking a gap year after this academic year finishes. I haven't applied to uni (nor do I want/plan to).

I'm aiming for AAAa/AABa for my A-levels and if I acheive this, I'll be applying for top end universities.

However, I'll be taking several resits and my concern is that that will considerable reduce where I could realistically get into. I'll be retaking one exam per subject, so, including GS, that'll be 5. Hopefully, I won't be doing anymore than that.

So, my question is is that many retakes of much detriment to an application? Is there anything I need to be thinking about concerning this.
