Help on rivers...

I'm doing a river study, and am wondering what "channel change" is?
Is it variation along the river's profile from source to confluence/sea?

i would think it is the change in channel shape etc to variations in discharge.

although it could be changes in the profile.

One of the phys geog teachers at my school has the surname Rivers.

Quite cool, isn't it? Shame she's a crap teacher (had her for AS while Mrs Durham was on maternity leave for a whole bloody year).

Also, lecturers at both Nottingham and Durham have the same names as two of my other teachers. :cool:
