For personal expenses, say, food and transport? Sure, you could make it work.
Yea well this is with my rent payments taken away. So its food, transport and booze, but I am still going to find a job so I can buy myself other things.
Yes, I find it quite easy survive on after spending £20 max on food, if you can stick to that then you've got £70 left over to spend on travel/phone costs/going out etc.

Well I plan to spend between 15-20 a week on food, so yeah, sounds good.
Are you joking? I live on £30 a week (okay, I don't have to buy food, but still) and that's more than enough for me!
Maybe you could help me then ( As I really only want to spend about £50, as you never know what may appear all of a sudden) Do you go out alot? If you do how do you make it really cheap ( this is how bad I am for spending money when I go out haha)

Haha Drink a bit at home first so you dont have to spend as much money when you go out, there's a quite a variety of wine for under £5 and a lot of it is quite decent! And go out on the cheap nights, for us Tuesday=90p drinks=AMAZING! so look for offers like that or student nights.

To make a night out cheap, drink before you go and only take a little amount of money, enough to get you through the night i.e.club entry and taxis, and that's it! Then just use the rule that you can only spend what you have with you, and as you've only taken a little out, you won't have that much to spend!
Oh and I'm hoping to survive on £60 a week and having to buy food out of that too!

Yea my problem is I tend to take my card out with me too, so if i run out of money to the ATM i go, not happening this time haha.
Thats huge!, I spend about £15 a week on food then about £30 on going out, although I dont spend much on transport but I am sure it wouldnt be that much
I have about £60/£70 per week but I still don't see that as enough and will be looking out for a part-time weekend job (hopefully in a bar or restaurant). £100 for spending money and food and I'm sorted.
