This seems a strange question to me I just want to compare answers and may need some help as I am not sure I got it right:

4) A software program 'cross ref;, is to be written which will analyse a source program and produce the following;

a) A count of how many times each reserved word is used

b) A count of how any loops are used

c) A list of all identifiers and which lines they are declared on.

Design a test strategy for "cross ref."

This is what I got:

a) ensure all reserved words are recognised and counted.

write a source program that includes one reserved word and test if recognised, do this for all reserved words.

have one program that uses all reserved words and check cross ref counts them all.

b) write a program that loops around a number of times and check this counted.

I have no idea about c)
