today when i sat my computing CPT1 exam i got caught cheating. i had some answers at the back of my calculator and now the college will tell AQA. i need to write a statement in my defence but not sure how. please can someone help me by telling me what sorts of things to write and if anyone has a template i can use, it will be very appreciated.

also i know i will be most likely disqualified from the exam i took but does anyone know how far AQA will go ie. will take disqualify me from the course, all my exams etc???

PS. the calculator was taken off me within a few minutes of the exam and i didnt look at it during the those few minutes.

Likelihood is you'll be disqualified from all your exams as they'll take the stance that you've ben cheating in all your previous exams as well.

I unfortunately don't have any experience, since cheating is the lowest form of behaviour ever in my books, but you might want to check out this cheating guide for next time.
If there is one, since AQA usually disqualify you for all your exams you sat that instance, i.e. Jan '09

Say you had the items in calculator for a quick glance before the exam and forgot to wipe the memory when you entered the exam. It'll take some convincing, but you can do it if you write well enough.

Its your own fault.
Why would you even risk it.
Someone got removed from our exam the other day and all there papers with the exam board have been withdrawn.
Such a silly thing to do. Why don't you just revise like everyone else instead of trying to beat the system?

I doubt that anyone in this forum cheats or has cheated in an exam, so you could forget about the template. You should be honest, because to be frank, you should get what you deserve. Big solid DQ.

I hope you don't get DQed from other AQA subjects though. That wouldn't be very fair, since it's your first time. Let this be the LAST TIME that you ever cheat in an exam, ever.

Say they were written there for revision purposes before the exam, and you completely blanked on exchanging the calculator.

Ah, I didn't really understand what she meant from the OP. In that case, you have absolutely no excuse.

At this point I'd try to go for something apologetic, and stern. As in you're not that kind of a person and you will not do it again, and hadn't done it up to this point.

By the way, the punishment for cheating is: Having all your AQA examinations cancelled and you're banned from ever giving an AQA examination again for 3 years or something.

I read this and lol'd hard. As far as punishment goes, I had a friend last year who cheated and AQA disqualified him from all AQA exams for that season (summer), after interviewing him with his parents, and his teachers.

You don't deserve help. If you have to cheat to pass an exam you don't deserve to pass it.
