Is anyone else doing AS History? There seems so much content compared to other A levels.

I did it at A-level, with Edexcel also. It has a lot of content, but it's also a lot easier to blag. There is no right or wrong answer, you just need to be able to analyse the area you are studying and develop good arguments for a limited number of angles they will throw at you. Read around a lot, outside of your text book, and you will pick up lots of nice things to add to your exams. I personally found it the easiest out of all my A-levels, at AS anyhow.

I dunno, I am doing A2 at the moment and I don't think there is that much content.... I do Law as well and there is waaay more to learn for that. With history you just need to generally know the story n you should be able to come up with some decent arguments in the exam. Thats my tactic anyway!

I'm doing edexcel too.. pretty crammed course, so much content for a pathetic exam with 2 questions only.

But still, history's interesting.

It's not so much your 'style of writing' at AS its more the content.

At A2 it's more an overview and writing style.

Well it is for my exam board from what we've been told to do.

For Edexcel - Unit 2 - do you still have just 55 minutes to write two essays? That was a bitch.

Hmm... I think you need to remember that content always takes a back seat to broader 'factors' and analysis of said factors. You don't need knowledge of minute detail I would suggest.
