    £2 is pretty cheap. Far cheaper than a laundrette.

    £2 a pop here too. It really wont seem expensive for about a weeks worth of clean clothes considering you are paying £2 a day to get a bus to and from uni.

    Any maths or economics students know how easy changing from the straight maths course to maths with economics would be? Im aware that the L100 is extremely over subscribed and so i imagine is economics in general, just wondered how easy a conversion to a course like that would be. cheers.

    From what ive heard, not even combined economics honours students (econ+geog, econ+phil etc) can transfer to L100 because it is too full, so i doubt they'd let you transfer from maths.

    Not sure if this is what you meant but im talking about doing
    Maths -> Maths + Economics.

    Rather than just Maths -> Economics.

    is accomodation first come first serve as I still want to go up and look around halls, and decide whether id rather lse or ucl.
    do you think its worth going to look around accomodation first?
    also, any current students doing law with french law?

    No it isn't first come first served, aslong as you have firmed UCL, and applied by the 30th June you are guarenteed accom.
    Yea would be beneficial to see some of the halls, although when I visited last year I don't remember being given the oppertunity!

    I wouldn't bother looking round. You get no choice, the system is a lottery. Yes, you get a choice about some preferences, but it's pretty random.

    Last year I was all "photos? experiences?" but in all honesty 90% of people I know are perfectly happy with where they got, the other 10% put themselves on the swap list or just put up with the little annoying things their room-mate does.

    I'm sorry if this question has been asked a gazillion times, but I'm probably going to try and find a job at uni... I was just wondering how hard it was to find restaurant work in central London with relevant experience... (I've worked in restaurants, etc throughout sixth form...)

    I'm the same, I really need to find a job when I get there. From what I've heard, it's not too hard to find work, but that's just what my friend has said, and she might just be a lucky cow. Hopefully it'll be easier that it is finding a job at home at the moment!

    Yep I've got a job too. Not many people I know do have jobs, but a few work in retail, some work in the union and some do club promotions.
