Re: University Lifestyle.
whitepearlbaby - you like to post even when you've got absolutely no valuable information..hmm...
I only have experience of Chester and my University Lincoln in these points, but Chester is a nice place - very small, town-like but some very nice pubs. Some people may correct me but I don't particularly think the nightlife is as strong as other places - but Liverpool isn't too far away.
Lincoln as a lifestyle is very close-nit, you'll only ever walk (unless it's raining / you're lazy / both) which helps cost-wise. There are a few more than 7-8 clubs, and 20+ bars and then some quality old pubs. It's surprising for being such a small space.
Everyone is very much up for a night-out, all the time, you've got a lot of options, the cinema is opposite the campus too. Check the Lincoln forum or my profile as I've made some long posts about things around Lincoln, but I'd recommend just coming up for the day - go to the city centre, and walk through the campus - and see if you like things.
Lincoln has many apartment areas for students; the Courts are the on-campus option which lack a few luxuries but are still fine, but the junxion, pavilions, brayford quays, all a 5 minute walk away from the centre of campus have nice sofas and lcd tvs in the living rooms. Prices for apts are around £75-£85 a week, housing is about £50-£90 a week - all still walkable.
