Music interview at Dartington College of Arts..

So this morning I was invited to dartingtons selection day which I am overly excited about..along with an interview they've given me a list of things to bring with me..

First is..a recording of my performance (yay already done..)

2..Composition:A recording of at least one piece that you have composed.Tell us why you wrote this composition and how it has been performed in the recording.

Now I've never composed anything in my life,I didn't do Alevel music..but they know all this from my ucas and personal statement. Any idea what sort of thing they are expecting??Cause it really stumped me. As did these next tasks...

3.Notation:An example of a notated composition.The notation should be appropriate for the performers to use in performance.

4. Writing: A copy of an essay about music in which you have used language to discuss specific musical concepts.

I've got until th 17th February, if anyone would be kind enough to point me in the general direction or give me some pointers I would be extremely grateful! Thanks
