watching the inauguration? [poll]

watching it as it happens?

anyone planning to watch obama's inauguration as it happens on jan 20 in person, on tv, online (cnn.com, etc), or by any other means? here in the states, so many people are taking off of work just to watch it, and some stadiums will be packed with people just wanting to watch it on the big screen. it's going to be great!

I'd quite like to be there, just to experience the buzz of a historic event. However watching it on television (assuming it's broadcast on our terrestrial channels) would probably be quite boring - just another ceremony that doesn't even have the pageantry of British equivalents.
No - I am busy on the 20th with exams and revision for more exams.

Have no intention of watching, have exams to revise for.

OF COURSE! It's an important moment in history, and I would like to be able to say that I watched it happen.

watching it on TV? no. big old no. it's not like watching the election, more like watching something THAT IS BOUND TO HAPPEN.

I would rather watch 200 Kerry Katona Iceland adverts on repeat over and over again.
Reply 8
Yeah, probably. It'll be interesting, and I don't have exams for another week.

No, because I don't give a ****. The real 'important moments' will come during the next four years, if at all.

Trust me... I'm terrified that will happen. A smart black man running the US... it can't happen. They've already convinced way too many of those right-wing idiots that he's a flagrant socialist (I wish  ), and before you know it, either the KKK or some Fox-News watching loony will take a shot at him. Hell, they already tried.
