Okay guess, I've got quite a bit bout of depression and my GP is reluctent to give me anit depressants. I've been told by some people to try St John's Wort. BUT I have the implant. It affects 'oral contraceptives' - would that include my implant?

Anyone had any trouble/experiance they can share?

Look into 5-HTP. It's not as well-researched as St. John's Wort but I don't *think* there are any listed contraindications to taking it with contraceptives.

I would suggest that you mention it to a doctor though to be on the safe side.

I'll let my counsellor know, if I actually manage to find this 5-HTP. I'll have a mooch around google and see what they say about contraception and using that. Thanks a bunch

I think in regards to st johns its a no- im not sure how i know this but I just think it would be a no if impant recent- not sure about a year after etc

Hm, might go to the sex clinic placey tomorrow then and see what they say about it! Went to holland and barretts today and everything was all 'do not use if you are under 18' >.>

Which means I'll have to get my boyfriend to pick it up, if any.
