Re: University of Nottingham 09!It will take you 20 minutes to get from BGP to the Chemistry building. It will take you 15 minutes to get from BGP to the Hallward library/Economics building area (talking from experience here).(Original post by Mr Snips)

Re: University of Nottingham 09!I liked HS, but it was all gone before I could apply.(Original post by Dijobla)
I was told in another thread that the general rule is 6 weeks from the date you applied, so I don't think any UP applicants will hear back before late April.
I've applied to Cripps, HS and Lincoln in that order; I'd be happy with any but I'm liking the sound of Lincoln more and more.
And I wasn't too big a fan of Cripps, but that's my personal opinion.
I didn't realise until yesterday how close Derby, Sherwood and Lincoln were.

Re: University of Nottingham 09!I stayed there on a summer school, and I quite liked it. Not too far from campus, and next to the downs which is pretty. It has a 'the Mix' bar, which was cool to hang out in, as well as a JCR which had Sky TV, and ping pong.(Original post by jstar357)
is derby and good?
And the hall was quite big, so I can imagine there's a lot of people which will be good for socialising. Plus the room itself was relatively well sized, and the shower worked which was nice. Hehe.

Re: University of Nottingham 09!Yeah, but I was on the ground floor, so was only sharing with 3 other people, and plus the showers are cleaned daily, as opposed to ensuite/shared ensuite, which are cleaned once a fortnight with your rooms.(Original post by jstar357)
sounds good...so I geuss you used a communal shower? was that weird as took time to use shower if someone was using it?
And on the other floors there were 6 of them, but they had a shower and bath, so there's not to much of an issue of using it when you want.

Re: University of Nottingham 09!I'd recommend the university accomodation for the first year, as it's very important socially. Also as you've not heard anyone mention it, and usually people who like something will rant and rave about it, would suggest they're not brilliant. Plus the fact they're advertising, and not affiliated with the university are not great signs.(Original post by jstar357)
yes just been looking on it, but I haven't heard anyone on the forum mention it before, don't know whether to apply there it looks nice
I don't know enough to pass judgement fully though.
