C2 Logs help

Solve:

4x3(2x+1)=0 4^x-3(2^x+1) = 0

I know that you're supposed to get something like 4x more than once, so y = 4x which makes it into a normal equation, but I'm kinda stuck on this question.

Help please!

EDIT: Its meant to be 2 to the power x+1, not 2 to the power x, then add 1.
4x = 22x
Unparseable latex formula:

4^x = (2^2)^x = 2^2^x
