There is a small flaw in your plan, no? Why do you think that your parents would buy you a new desktop/laptop (as opposed to another 2nd hand one or even none at all) if this one goes bust, whether by accident or not?
Just try the magnet... if we don't see you back for a couple days, then we'll know you succeeded :smile:

Static didn't work for me either, I rubbed ram on carpet, rubbed balloons on it, wore it in a shirt that actually cracked with static when I take it off, I couldn't break it and I gave up in the end, I'd maybe suggest [salt]water vapour/mist?

cos ill need one for uni, plus theyre not gonna buy me one outright, iv got some spare cash saved up for such an occasion plus they will help as my birthday will happen around they time i need to go to uni ( july ) so i could just say scrap individual presents... gimme money!! seee... flawless my friend flawless.

lol good one mate, but its not for now, i need my computer right about now for revision and posting on threads on TSR :smile: this is more in june july time after exams :P

Job = money = BUY YOUR OWN so you don't have to rely on breaking what would be a perfectly good starter pc for someone when you want a laptop.
Try downloading NTune (Nvidia video card adapter), and force it to attempt to overclock your GPU over and over - eventually it'll burn itself out.
