Re: Nando'sHmm? Isn't it, like, £5.50 for a quarter chicken and two sides? And probably about a tenner for a burger and chips in a pub.(Original post by Dionysus)
Yeah of course, but the price is higher than say, buying a burger in a pub, and you would never be expected to get your own cutlery and sauces there. The price should reflect the service, really.
Anyway, the price shouldn't reflect the service - people go to Nando's knowing what to expect! It's not meant to be classy, it's meant to be a bit tacky - they have notes on the menu telling you not to worry about making a mess if you eat with your hands, jokes on posters on the walls, bottles of sauce lying around, they have free refills, and frankly if you got the cutlery brought over to you I'd see it as a bit of an inconsistency. They pride themselves on being informal. Nothing wrong with that. -

That's the best thing about Nando's... their napkins!they have notes on the menu telling you not to worry about making a mess if you eat with your hands, jokes on posters on the walls, bottles of sauce lying around -
Re: Nando'sMadness!! I'll still give the medium a shot, but won't expect it to taste the same in the restaurant!(Original post by Baconator)
The little bottles of sauce are like, table sauces I guess whereas the sauce they put on the chicken is a more concentrated version like a baste, they do taste slightly different. -
Re: Nando'sNO I DON'T LIKE VINDALOO!!(Original post by Strictly Business)
You don't like Vindaloo?
I'm gonna have to retract that "great minds think alike" comment, haha.
I dipped my finger in it once - NEVER AGAIN!!!
You may have to retract that comment... and the one about you having to 'get out of here' pmsl. -
Re: Nando'sReally?? That i'll do!! Thanks for the tip(Original post by Baconator)
Next time you go in just ask them to let you try the medium sauce, they'll pour some of the medium cooking baste into a little pot for you to taste and decide if it's too hot before you agree to have it on your chicken. Simple! I do it for people all of the time

Re: Nando'sI've even tried a "fao" before and it's apparently hotter than a vindaloo (no idea how you actually spell it... had it in a restaurant where the vindaloo wasn't hot and my friend and I decided to ask for something hotter and they came out with this. Now THAT was painful.. but we finished it(Original post by Sheep88)

You seemed cool up until 5 minutes ago.
Seriously though... I've had competitions with friends in Nandos. Me and another friend used up a quarter of Extra Hot sauce once.
literally needed like 6 or so refills.
I never would have thought that... their secret is out!
