It doesn't I'm afraid, they don't sort out accommodation until offers have been fulfilled, so they won't look at it until mid-August

the toilet locks though, and the door to the bathroom. if the outer door locks, then the layout of the rest of the bathroom would be sort of pointless. it doesn't lock so that, if someone's in the shower you can still use the sink or the loo.

it's not really like you need that much privacy when you're just using the sink.
Yeah I guess it would be a bit pointless, but I'm not really a fan of using the toilet whilst someone else is in the shower or whatever if you know what I mean

hm, better than having to wait an hour for a desperate wee whilst someone's in the bath, tbh. Or having to wait fifteen minutes in the morning just to brush your teeth, because someone's in the shower.

Ah well, horses for course, an ensuite for you, clearly!

hey, i've noticed some halls in fallowfield have laundry services whilst others don't... does that mean you can use other halls' facilities? or are there launderettes dotted about the fallowfield campus? thanks for any replies in advance.

Hey guys! I've recently heard about the "moss side" of manchester and I was wondering which halls are near this route? So i know which ones to avoid, because I don't want to be walking through it everyday!

    Thanks! =)

There are no halls where you'd have to walk through moss side.

Hopefully I'm going to study Computer Science at Manchester this year. I am so confused about the accommodation. The main question is: should I choose catered or self-catered. Is anyone from here doing Computer Science? Are the lectures and the meals in the same time? I'm a little concerned about this, because some ppl say that sometimes you can miss a dinner or the good food might be gone. I am asking because I haven't found yet someone who is doing my major and because I am interested in his/her opinion.

Could someone tell how many people share one bathroom in the following halls - GROSVENOR PLACE, GROSVENOR STREET BUILDING, RONSON HALL, WHITWORTH PARK AND WRIGHT ROBINSON HALL? In the university website it is written that from 10 to 13 residents share bathroom facilities, but what does "bathroom facilities" mean - 4 bathrooms and 4 toilets, 3 bathrooms and 3 toilets? How bathrooms and toilets are there for these 13 residents?
    Thank You in advance!

Haha, moss side isn't that bad. Its just a small area next to rusholme that has a bad rep because of the whole gangland thing, but my boyfriend lived there and had not one bit of trouble! In fact the one time someone did attempt to mug him it was on Oxford Road!

You may find yourself living near here in later years but its not worth the time of day worrying about it, just do the normal things you would to keep safe.

In Whitworth Park it's 2 showers and 2 toilets between 7/8/9, and in Wright Robinson it's 3 showers and 2 toilets between 15, though I've never had to wait for a shower/toilet in either.

What is Victoria park like? I know its quite but that doesn't mean boring right?
And city campus - its nice and close to shops but like every1 seems to be talking about Fallowfield. I don't want to be distracted and I don't want to be woken up in the middle of the night by drunks coming home from a night out when I got a lecture in da morning. I also want to it to be a culturally diverse area if possible - not da extremes with like all really stuck up people but not really like all "ghetto" peoples either and also not all really wild and partyers.
Maybe someone can list advantages and disadvantages of each campus and what they are like please?
    Thanx
