Everyone says Stowbart.

My dad and I used to play a game. Whoever pointed out the most Eddie Stobart trucks on the motorway won. I never won. But I do have the satisfaction of knowing I'm not a moron who comes up with crap games.

stow-bart

failing that, "oh look its another big green lorry"
stow-bart to me =]
It's Stobie in Scotland.
Stow-bart. UntilI read the thread I was wondering what the different between stow and sto was. I say them the same. Shropshire's not south :eyeball:. I suppose it's south to someone from Cumbria though...

Why does Eddi Stobart even come up in conversation?

Okay, this has really been hacking me off.

How d'you pronounce the word "Eddie Stobart" as in the big green lorry company to always see on the motorways.

I'm originally from Cumbria, where the business is based, and I've always said "Eddie Sto-bart"

However my friends who are from down south all say "Eddie Stow-bart"

What do you say?

Watch Gavin and Satcy. I'm sure Nessa slept with Eddie...

Why are both of the poll options pronounced the same.
I just assumed it was Stob-art because that's how BBC Look North say it.
Maybe someone should contact them and ask how to pronounce their name :p:

Why are both of the poll options pronounced the same.

I know - surely the second one should be Stob-art.
Steady Eddie?

I say "Stow-bart", but I'm a Northerner.
