Accomodation

Hi i just wanted to ask about the accomodation as by the time if i do go to leics uni i will have my own laptop and wanted to know to the rooms have internet and is there a filter etc...

all the rooms have internet access, it's not wireless though as far as I know. Don't think there's a filter although they say you can get banned for "excessive use" - that pretty much means if you attempt to download every episode of a tv series in one night though.

All rooms have free internet acccess apart from rooms in Opal Court where I believe you have to pay about £200 per year. There is no filter on the internet although many people I know cannot use torrents, there is a 2gb weekly bandwith limit but you would have to be a very heavy user to go over this.
