OK, so the obvious answer is a part-time job, but I've had crappy jobs in cafes since I was 14 and I was just wondering if anyone out there had any ingenious ideas to make some money whilst in sixth form. I live in Oxford. And I have handed out loads of CV's and stuff, just want to make some extra cash for my gap year fund. Thanks!

Yes I know, and as I said, I've handed out a lot of CV's, mostly to shops and restaurants. Topshop seemed quite interested which is great. The thing is, I just don't like giving up my saturdays. I'll do it if I have to, just wondering if anyone had any bright suggestions.
despite the cv's, have you filled out application forms if stores have them, and written personal cover letters to each individual store?!
That makes you a hell of a lot more employable as it makes the store seem like you want to work for them, not just anyone.

When I went to get a job, I printed out 20 CV's, 20 cover letters and brought along 20 envelopes. I put 10 of the CVs and letters in the envelopes, and kept the others out. I went round everywhere and asked if they had an application form. The ones that didn't, I just gave them by CV and a letter in an envelope. The ones who gave me an application form I kept, filled out in the food court, and then took them round with the letters later on.

YOu get everything done in one day. I got a call that afternoon, went to an interview 2 days later and have been working there for almost 2 years now!
