Intercollegiate halls

Just wondering, if I send off my accommodation forms as soon as I get them (I'll be accepting a place either at SOAS or UCL within the next two weeks, don't actually know how long it'll be until I get accommodation stuff, though), do I stand a good chance of getting into an intercollegiate hall? If I don't, would I get rejection in time to be able to get standard SOAS or UCL accommodation?
