Default Choosing a Uni in Manchester
 
Hi

I have created a useful website for people wanting to study in Manchester it discusses the pros and cons of each uni. It also gives tips on living in Manchester as a student on a tight budget. Please make sure you check it out and tell me what you think.

Big choice of three there!
More student oriented pros and cons would be awesome, like cheap bars in the area, quality of education, 'a Day In The Life Of A XXX Student...' would also be awesome!

Nice idea. Just a general userface tip, maybe hyperlink the logo's at the top of your page to the universities homepages?

Should be four really. I see no reason why Salford's (its own city, I know) included but Bolton's excluded. Neither are in "Manchester" but are in Greater Manchester.

Moving to the Manchester forum for now.

Indeed, i was thinking the same thing.

Oh and the Uni of Salford isn't based in the quays, it's main campus is by Peel Park in Central Salford. Though there is going to be a media department in the quays alongside the BBC.

Uni of Salford is less than a mile from the city centre of manchester so its practically in manchester. Ive taken ur comments on board and will be adding new stuff soon.

Oh and Bolton is a bit furthe out from manchester its more than 3 miles away.

So 3 miles is some sort of official cut-off? If you are going to include Uni of Salford you should really include all of Manchesters urban area which includes Bolton.

By your definition there aren't many universities in London...........

Point taken maybe that wasn't the best definition to give, so i have only included unis with a Manchester postcode i.e. beginning with M and Botlton is BL so its not in Manchester but greater Manchester.
