god dammit, tsr. people are quick to say "why does it matter if they're black or white?" as soon as a colour is mentioned on the title. seriously, for all the "confused" people there, i think what the OP is trying to say is that although black people are good singers, they all sound the same. i'm not racist, but i agree with that statement.

Okay
Corinne Bailey Rae,
Angie Stone
Nina Simone
Beyonce Knowles
Kanye West
Barry White
Michael Jackson
The singer in Bloc Party
etc...

They don't sound the same (am I being really pedantic?)

I suppose the generalisation stems from a reference to a particular genre? R&B and Hip Hop for instance?

If that's what the OP was saying then I kind of agree with him/her but in the sense that's it the newer singer coming out who tend to sound the same.

For example, Alexandra Burke did state that she always listened to Beyonce and I think she does try to make her voice sound similar to Beyonce's just not successfully.

Similar with Leona Lewis, her voice is good (debatable) but it's nothing new and it is certainly not fresh.

Swimming? Cycling?

That's because they often come from countries that can't afford swimming pools or velodromes!

And re the singers- that's just commercialism. They all sound the same because that's the sound that has mass appeal and sells CDs. Look outside the mainstream and there are plenty of black female singers with their own unique sound.

Yea they have very powerful voices (especially women)!! But they can be good or bad just like 'whites' can be....

So they can afford a football pitch, athletics track, cricket pitch, rugby pitch, basketball court.

Oh and golf is another sport.

No you said that black people get more money in football than in cycling, which is true, but there are more white players than black players in football. Which means that black players arent supreme in football. Spacktard.

I never said they are 'supreme in football'. My point was that black sportsmen tend to be more dominant in the fields of sport where there is big money. i.e not cycling or swimming.

Doesn't football have big money and they are not dominant. Golf, Football, Tennis and rugby has big money they are not dominant.

They're cheap by comparison.

Apart from the obvious, are there many black golfers? This isn't meant to be rhetorical by the way- my golfing knowledge is zilch :p:

'i'm not a racist....i'm not a racist'- hahaha, the fact that you noticed something as insignificant as that proves that you are. Don't waste your breath even trying to defend yourself. Your just going to dig yourself a bigger hole.

But answer this question for me: Is you met a girl who was pretty, smart and funny and you thought the sun shone out of her arse, would you not date her because she was black? But then again you'd probably say no even though you were thinking yes.

Oh- have you guessed that i'm black yet?
