Exclamation IMPORTANT!!I have NO idea what this means. . .
 
I got a letter from Imperial (I applied to a Civil Engineering Course). They said in the letter that I did not get an offer for Civil Engineering, BUT "it is still possible to study for an Engineering course in the Department of Material. They said the course was a MEng in Materials Science and Engineering. What does this mean? Does it mean that I got accepted but to a different course. one I did not even apply to?

They told me to call or email them within three weeks, which I did. How will my UCAS be updated? They did not include the offer in the letter btw

Yeah, it happens a fair bit. You should have an acceptance on TRACK from the uni but the course code will have changed.


(I think that means they've officially offered you a place)

Yes, they like you enough to offer you a place, but not enough for that course and think your better suited on a different course.

Thanks alot guys!. . .btw I want to give hope to any of you out there. . .I thought that there was no way in hell I was ganna get an offer. . .I had 4 A*'s and 1 B and 2 C's at O-level, one A and one C in AS, and I got a bad prediction of a 5 5 4 4 4 for my AP's with a 150 word long reference.

Maybe, but look specifically at the offer and ask the uni, 'cause for many courses they specifically specify that you cannot move from one certain course to another.

How do I know if I can or can not. I looked through UCAS course search and it did not say anything about transferring from one course to another. . . Where can I find this info. Thanks a lot guys!

I sent them telling them that I am interested, what will happen next, will they send me my offer in the mail or through ucas, I still havent gotten anything through ucas.
