Re: Snnnnooooooowww!!! (Cambridge!!)thats just to keep it looking beautiful for the rest of us(Original post by Supergrunch)
They closed it today, because of "slippery paths." Which were in fact, very well cleared and traction happy. Hmm...
in all honesty its nice for the college to be closed occasionally rather than having a constant tide of tourists walking through taking photos -
Re: Snnnnooooooowww!!! (Cambridge!!)But I wanted to take my shadow to lunch there(Original post by munro90)

Re: Snnnnooooooowww!!! (Cambridge!!)I agree, I think the "Chapel at Churchill" could give it a run for your money, although it's actually much nicer inside.(Original post by Craghyrax)
Do you mean the chapel?
I disagree on both counts. There are nicer and much worse buildings around.
I really like our music centre though, it's a shame it wasn't done to a more used part of college. -
Re: Snnnnooooooowww!!! (Cambridge!!)
The Churchill music centre was lovely inside but not particularly exciting outside. Although we saw it at night, so I don't remember it too well.
I knew exactly which one you meant and I disagreed with you. I think its a far cry from the ugliest. Our own William Stone building is far more repulsive. The only thing wrong with that building is that it needs a good clean and hasn't been cared for well enough.(Original post by ukebert)
Worst building in cambridge: -
Re: Snnnnooooooowww!!! (Cambridge!!)Nah,it's horrible and baroque. It's not just it's architecture though, it is the horrible juxtaposition between it and the Gothic chapel. It looks so ludicrously out of place and distasteful that even our own dear WSB cannot compete.(Original post by Craghyrax)

Re: Snnnnooooooowww!!! (Cambridge!!)If it were cleaned, at least one level taller, perhaps less busy, it would be ok, so, ummm(Original post by ukebert)

Re: Snnnnooooooowww!!! (Cambridge!!)No way, ugly old buildings can be tolerated because they are old - they still kinda fit, even it they don't. There is no excuse for ugly newness and they stick out so much more.(Original post by ukebert)
It would still be horrible
I find that the really ugly modern buildings are somehow less objectionable than the really ugly old buildings.
