mehh:rolleyes: , I was talking to a med student and she sed it was to do with the fact that there aren't enough experianced doctors anymore, especially since the whole process has been sped up. Also to do with the fact that so many british doctors are going abroad for better pay.

No, its a lack of jobs.
They should employ more doctor, the NHS is perpetually understaffed, but that would cost money. People are going abroad because of the lack of jobs- not the other way round.

You can plough lots of medical students into the system, but if theres a lack of jobs available higher up, a lot of them will filter out abroad or into other professions and you still have a shortage of doctors.
