How is 1 (f) (i) done? It seems like it wants you to use s.u.v.a.t. equations but we only know the time and the distance (8.4m). We need an acceleration. It just says that the acceleration voltage is produced by the Van de Graff generator. We could say kinetic energy is work done, divide it by distance then divide that force by mass for the acceleration. But we shouldn't be using the given kinetic energy values because we are supposed to draw a graph with it.

How about 2(a) (ii). All I can think of is 1/2 kx^2 for the energy stored in a spring.

Thanks.
