Since Aston University is rarely mentioned on this forum, i was just wondering if anyone is going there in October, or at least has it as their 1st/2nd choice? :biggrin:

i've got offers for Aston in Psychology and Sociology with Psychology.
i prefer the combined course, and it's probs going to be my first choice, although i still haven't heard from Warwick, and if i got an offer there it would probably confuse me :biggrin:

are you living there? if you are where did you want to stay? i prefered Dalton tower

good luck to you as well! any chance you went on an aston open day on the 9th december? thats when i went. not that i saw you or know you or remember you but its funny if you did go on that day. just feels like such a small world then.

I applied there but went to the Combined Honours open day today and wasn't too impressed. I think three should be more choice in accommodation: Lakeside (is that what it was called? I forget) is very very nice, but very very expensive: and the internets not even included! The standard rooms I saw were a bit nasty - there should be something in the middle imo.

Also, with Aston being fairly close to home for me I've decided against it. Very good reputation, though, which is always nice!

i know what you mean about the accomodation. i liked lakeside but apparently the high rise blocks are the best for socialising? i think youg get alot of international students in lakeside who may prefer to keep themselves to themselves :smile:

lakeside is nice but going to have to rough it for a year. its too expensive otherwise.
