My friend is raving on about this. Is it really good? I just noticed on Steam it's £13.99 but I can get The Orange Box for £16.99. Is portals et al worth the extra £3?

Very much so, they're both great games; Especially Team fortress 2 as it's an enjoyable game to play and I must admit, it's highly addictive. I'm assuming that you know what the game play/modes are, therefore I won't go into any explanation over that..

Portal is a great game and it's totally worth the extra £3 - it's not the longest game in the world, however, I've played it at least 5 times now, and I'm still not bored of it!

Everyone seems to herald it as one of the best multiplayer games of all time, which I don't understand at all. It always just seems to play like one massive cluster****.

So what's the alternative? Valve make the best multiplayers. My favourite list:

    1. Counter-Strike: Source
    2. Team Fortress 2
    3. COD 4
    4. Warhawk
    5. Resistance 2

The last three change fairly often.

In your opinion they might. COD4 and Halo.both top any of Valve's offerings from my perspective. CS: S might be more fun if it was less hacked.

To get the most out of an FPS you really need a keyboard and mouse. A stick is just far too limited in movement. This is backed up by the fact most games contain auto aim as long as your near the target.

Definitely. I can run tonnes of other games no bother, it literally is just TF2 I have the problem with.
