Re: The Team Fortress 2 ThreadProbably.(Original post by Creepy)
Hmm I agree it's an okay game, but I don't see the massive attraction. It's nothing revolutionary?
Is it just because it's so simple that it's good?
Can't say I'm an expert but the only other fps multiplayer I have ever played is CoD4 and I hated it. Maybe it's the simplicity of TF2 I like - I'm absolutely crap at CoD whenever I play it but I seemed to pick up TF2 much quicker. Plus the amount of stuff that happens in TF2 that makes you laugh probably doesn't ever happen on other more serious games. E.g. A heavy gets set on fire and is about to die when he gets out his sandvich and starts omnomnoming to regain health - meanwhile, the pyro runs back round the corner and hadoukens the heavy before getting headshotted by a sniper who's about to get backstabbed by a spy.
Okay that never happened but you get the picture.

Re: The Team Fortress 2 ThreadYeah I also think the classes are all so distinct - it's like playing a different game, and yet (pretty much) equally valuable - if you don't have the right balance of classes, you'll lose. Sure, if there's a lot of engy's on the enemy's team, you'll probably want a few more demo's and medics, but when you get the enemies' sentries down, they'll be very vulnerable to attack.(Original post by Joly)
Probably.
