Right I gave 'em a call (who said the music was good? I swear they were playing High School Musical!!) and he told me that they're still working on people's financial evidence (from parents, P60 etc) from the 10th of June so if your parents sent it off after that date all you can do is wait until student finance catch up with themselves!!

high school musical? One way to get the queue shorter...
I had Rihanna and some other stuff I can't remember :s but it was better than the stuff you get when you call your bank and get some random classical music.
I like classical music, just there is a fair amount, as with all music, that is pretty bad. Banks, internet providers etc seem to have the bad stuff in abundance.

That turned a bit ranty =/ lol
But good to know what's going on, thank you!!
So do we just sign this and send it and wait for a new letter?

yeh put 0 for them if they dont earn anything. even if your sister has a part time job, it doesnt contribute to the family income at the end of the day so you dont have to write it down.

and i dont know about section 3. what does it say fully?
Section 3, part b: "Child dependants in further or higher education in academic year 2009/10", would my parents list me in this section?

Link to form here, http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Educatio...ance/DG_171624 , then scroll down to the parents supporting and students's application part.

Right, so i was told on the website i DIDNT need to provide evidence, however i got my declaration today and it said my household income could not be assessed as i did not provide evidence.

The man on the phone said it was their fault as ******* ususal!!! So, now i have to get my mums p60 from her work which will take a week, and other documents. Basically im screwed.

Do you guys know if you still recieve the full amount if i sent my evidence off next week?

I dont mind if its a month late as long as i get the full amount.

I think you can apply up to nine months after the start of your course. So you would get it eventually.

    Can someone please help me.

I got this email today which at the top said:

"Thank you for your application for student finance.

Your application is on hold because of the following reason(s):

    Awaiting Eligibility Evidence"

I've been on the studentfinance.gov website logged into my account and can't find anything to do with "Student Eligibility" how the hell do I find where I have to update whatever I need to, and how the hell do I know what I have to do?

Can anyone tell me the processes from applying to getting from Student Finance.

I applied a while back, and sent my Child Tax Credit declaration for the Parent's Learning allowance.

I applied online, and my status still shows as Assessed. What are the next steps? what does the status change to now etc etc??:eek3:

    Please Help

I was also told you had to send the 07/08 financial info off and not 08/09?

    Why is this?

I didn't...I don't think you need to, because aren't you supposed to keep the notification and take it with you when you register at Uni? Student Finance would only have to send it back to you.
Fair enough. I didn't know you had to take it with you to uni, why's that?

If you apply late, do you stil get the FULL amount you are entitled to? Just at a later date?

I got my financially-assessed 'Financial Notification' in the post today :woo: but it says 'UCAS Number:' and then nothing. Do you think this matters? Should I ring them and ask them why it's been omitted?

It has also occurred to me that it says 'course fee amount as stated on your application' and '£3225' adjacent to it. Do you think I should have included the College Fees (for oxford uni btw) as well?

I'm just worried that now it's all complete I might have filled the form out wrong in the first place! :o:

I don't think mine has anything next to UCAS number either.

lol I've done the same. My mum & dad are both divorced but live in the same house, 'cept my dad is retired & goes away to his girlfriends @ the weekend!! Haven't rumbled me yet though, good luck!
So you've only got one person supporting your application, same as me? Have you heard anything from them yet at all?

    Re: Student Finance Applications - Q & A
My status has been on "approved" for ages, but I haven't had a schedule of payment...what worries me is that my mum doesn't remember sending off any documents (like her p60). Last year we DID send off the wrong ones, instead of 06/07 we sent off 07/08 (I think) and had to re-send, so could it be they already have them? I just can't see them keeping the documents, considering they are fairly crap. Or do they just go based on last year? My mums wage hasn't changed so it wouldn't make a difference....
