ok... I'm having some trouble trying to make my mind up about my best friend.
the thing is, we're really close and we see each other practically every day. we share the same interests and we do exactly the same subjects at school and we've been good friend since we were like seven. we're also going to try to do sport together as a team of 2 but i really dont want to mess that up...
now, he's the hottest guy at school and every girl seems to want to make out with him, but he's seventeen now and he's never kissed anyone in his life... which is weird but then, he is very shy.
we never to talk to each other about relationships and stuff but i do know that the girls he fancies are usually very very pretty and well .... i don't really fit into that category. its just i really dont know whether he's such a good friend that i see him as a brother or maybe im starting to feel something else...?
i really really do not want to see him as anything more than just a friend... plus he's so out of my league that it would be idiotic to even consider it.
any advice would be helpfull,

If you saw him getting with another girl, or even having an intimiate conversation with, would you be jealous?
Ignore out of your league - he's chosen to be friends with you for ages!
Maybe you should discuss relationships, see where he stands I guess...

surely if you're thinking about it, you must be interested in being more than just friends... otherwise, why would the thought even cross your mind?
like icicle_100 asked, would you jealous? i dunno, it sounds a bit like you would be, from what you say about other girls' attitudes to him...

You need to talk to him about this but if you are good friends would you want to risk your friendship for a relationship? Stop thinking you are out of his league and that you aren't pretty enough because you probably aren't. If he has had that many oppourtunities but not taken them then the chances are he is holding on for someone special and you could be that person. If you are really close it maybe that you like him as a brother but you will never know until you talk to him.

my best friend is a guy and i love him in a way that i dont love any of my other friends, or even my boyfriend.
its not that im in love with him its just, i dunno how to explain it. he looks after me and he cares about me and i look up to him aswell, we have the exact same interests and we never stop talking. so maybe thats how you feel?

are you attracted to him? i know you think he's hot but theres a big difference between seeing someone as attractive and actually being attracted to them, you should probably think about it. have you always felt this way about him or has it being gradually changing and getting stronger? because if it is then i dunno maybe you do love him :\

Erm... i've been in this position quite recently actually. My best friend (guy) told me he loved me and we've been really close friends and we didn't lots of things together but the thing is i didn't feel that way about him and since then everythings been terrible he can look at me or even talk to me without crying.
I feel soo bad for what has happened but theres nothing i can do.
Esp since i have a bf, and he gave me the choice of either leaving him and going out with him or never speaking to him again.
Its really killing me inside but theirs nothing i can do. So i advise you to think about this for i do love my best friend but its the sort of love that is more of a brother/sister love and i could tell this by the fact i couldn't imagine having a relationship with him. So yer. sorry its so long but i dont want anyone to go through this
