Winchester. It's tiny, cramped and there's sod all to do.
Edit: Before anyone says anything, I do not go to Winchester Uni.
No dissing the city of Winchester thank you! A small city but I love it there, so much character. Plenty of pubs to go to in the evening. If you want nightclubs etc, you get on the train to Southampton and get the night bus back
No idea what the uni is like. Anyway it only got uni status recently (i.e post 2000). Seems to do courses for journalism and the like?
I think I would find Warwick dreadfully boring... The whole campus thing would become claustrophobic after a while...
warwick's not that boring seeing as there's quite a fair bit of choice in terms of going out (cov, bham and leamington). only problem is its in the rich bit of cov so the only people that live there are middle-class families or students. i live right almost on campus, and can definitely say its not boring at all.
im surprised no-one's mentioned oxford or cambridge. they have absolutely nothing in terms of a good nightlife! a few pubs and thats about it...
warwick is pretty dull, both in terms of settings and the individuals. very serious all the time from what I've seen.
Keele always seemed like a snooze, same for st.andrews. I imagine harper adams' would get really tedious rather quickly too.
oxbridge is a bit dull really, a swift half in the college bar then straight back to studying! - Not true of all the students, but it's hardly a 2 sesh a week culture there.
That's a different and interesting way of looking at things...
you mean UHI? it's pretty new and is mostly still in colleges etc...but its scattered cos of the sort of courses it offers, like Sabhal Mohr Ostaig is the gaelic college (part of UHI) and on the Isle of Skye. I'm not too sure what the UHI offer now, but they don't offer all the mainstream uni type courses yet like French etc I don't think, but are more concentrated on Scottish history, gaelic, construction type stuff...could be completely wrong but that's what I've heard! And I thnk they're planning on building an actual Uni in Inverness in the near future, which is much needed! Would be nice to have the choice to go to a uni without having to leave home if thats what you wanted (not that i would...)
I heard Warwick is in the sticks and really isolated
All of this 'Warwick is in the middle of an arid desert' talk is just crazy. Yes it's a campus university, but it's situated on the edge of Coventry and is, shock horror, a 15 minute bus ride away from the city centre (a City with 300,000 people) and about 15 minutes from Leamington Spa, a large town. It's hardly the middle of nowhere. I happen to quite like the fact that there is lots of countryside around with larger cities (Cov and Birmingham) and a large town (Leamington) close by. Besides, after the first year people don't live on campus, they live either in Cov or Leamington.
I agree kents university must be boring - lousy scumbags rejected me lol I mean surrey and royal holloway accepted me so why couldnt they. Who cares Im not going now am I. Just waiting for leicester now to make my decision
guys what about these unis - leicester, royal holloway and surrey university. Are they boring?

Coventry and Leamington are hardly Paris or New York though are they?
And if I really wanted to be in Birmingham, I would apply to the University of Birmingham.
I think Warwick too...because there's not much going on outside of the campus. Coventry is close but is a dump and birmingham is ok but the accent is so annoying.

tbh coventry's a lot better than manchester... at least i know i wont get stabbed as soon as i walk out the door. same goes for london.
the idea of going to uni is ultimately to get a good degree, and not to be least bored. so if you want to apply birmingham do so, but its a crap degree compared to one you would get from warwick

your from coventry, your views are bound to be biased.
anyone else feel that this thread is starting to become "this uni is better than this one" haha
