Re: Dry/Tickly cough!Go get it checked again, i had to go to the docs loads... gladly it's gone now. Might be glandular fever too...(Original post by Athers16)
Hey
hope you all better now, was wonderin if i could have some advice. I am 16 and had 3 chest infection since december. I now have another one i sound like a sealion when cough, fever, weak and v. tired, but not been given steroids this time just antibiotics (Amoxcillin) but been taking for 5 days now still no change. Do you think i could have something more serious e.g pnemonia or bronchitus?

Re: Dry/Tickly cough!Press on the under side of your mouth... if they're tender than possible... those are just symptoms, you don't have to have all of the symptoms to have it.(Original post by Athers16)
Um i dont think so how can i check? surely u not breathless or wheezy with gllandular fever though -
Re: Dry/Tickly cough!
Mate, could just potentially be a nasty infection that won't go away
Or a virus, which obviously won't be eased by antibiotics.
If you're really worried go back to the doctor, explain how the symptoms still haven't eased off, and due to the duration of the whole thing you're wondering if there's anyone he/she could refer you to. Have you been seeing the same doctor all this time? If so, before you ask to be referred just ask if you can see a different doctor, for a second opinion.
I'm doubting pneumonia or anything truly serious, to be honest, as when the doctor was stethoscoping you I'm pretty sure they would have heard some major abnormalities (this is a guess; don't quote me - I'm not a member of the medical profession). There's always the chance they could miss something though, I s'pose.
As I said before though, if you're concerned just traipse back to the GP. They'll know a lot more than the population of TSR and will be able to put your mind at ease far better than the likes of us. -
