Thank you letter?

I have to write a few thank you letters for my birthday presents but I'm not sure what to write. So far I've written 'thank you for the ...., I'm going to use it for.../I really love it etc'

But what else? It looks so short!

Send cards instead. That way you can just put 'thank you so much for _____ it was so generous of you. I'm planning on spending it on ____. Hope everything there is well. Love ____' and it won't seem too short. You could even get away with ecards, depending what it's for...
