A college for a graduate student....
Which college would you say is best for graduate students? I preferably want one that offers accommodation for all years of a PhD, is either central or towards the Addenbrooke's side of town and has a good MCR community where it is easy to meet new people because I don't know anyone in Cambridge. Are there any colleges that are going to be hard to get into at this stage?
I think lots of colleges will only guarantee you accommodation for the first year but in practice will let you stay there all the time. I think someone told me that at Darwin (a popular grad college) you pretty much only get accommodation in the first year though. But I'm not sure I'm recalling correctly.
