In need of some help, Please :)
I am currently in year 13, studying Edexcel Physics.
AS Physics Results:
Electricity and Thermal Physics - D
Mechanics and Radioactivity - D
Practical and Nucleur and Particle Physics Topic - E
January Resits:
Mechanics and Radioactivity
Practical and Topic (Changed to Astrophysics)
Waiting for results
June Exams
Waves and Our Universe
Fields and Forces
Synoptic Paper
Practical
Probably going to resit Electricity and Thermal Physics.
Here is my problem, I am a girl who is particularly sensitive (mixture of reasons). I am in a class with only boys and have only male teachers who aren't particularly sensitive. When I struggled with a problem last year I would get laughed at by other students and my teachers wouldn't help me. I found it very difficult to learn within the class (the teacher just reads out of the book and anyone that has studied edexcel physics I'm sure you don't find the book tht helpful either) and I gave up asking questions. This has resulted in bad results last year and will probably result in bad results this year.
And when I spoke to the head of physics about my grades last year, his helpful imput was, 'Most people on a D at the end of AS end up with a U at the end of A2, I'd suggest a revision book but there are none out there that are any good. I don't think there is much we can do now.'
However I don't want that to happen. I took Physics because I knew I wanted to study chemistry and I knew I wanted to study at birmingham. For that to happen I need a B in physics. I looked into getting a physics tutor but there are none in my area. I can't find any websites that have decent notes.
Has anyone got notes for Units 2, 4, 5 and 6, Please. I am begging you!
Thank you very much for reading this, and if anyone wants to help me by being my online tutor or something I dunno, Just I need to get better now!
