Which is the hardest?

and how much do the levels of difficulty vary between each level?

and how much maths are you supposed to have completed to be able to properly attempt the lowest level STEP paper?

thanks a lot

There are Step I, II and III papers.

paper 3 is the hardest, paper 1 the easiest.

You need single maths for paper 1, and further maths for paper 3.

Paper 2 is done by both those with further and single maths.

Thanks Lottelo,

I have one more question though

do you just 'pass' the paper, and if you do what mark is usually required for this?
if not, then how is it graded?

The paper is graded with grades of either S, 1, 2, 3 or U (Fail).

You don't need particularly many marks to pass the paper - because its so damn difficult (about 4 completely correct answers will get you a 1).
