I'm not the only person who thinks like this.

I can't take people like you seriously tbh. You fool yourself with conspiracy theories and criticisms, but you're deluding with illusions of grandeur. What you don't realise that the real world is passing you by while you sit back and criticize it. Soon you'll be 30 and you'll realise you've done nothing with your life.

Reminds me of a song we wrote some time back. "You're not happy you just think you are."

Also: watch The Matrix. Ignorance is bliss, right?

The Matrix is a work of fiction.

There is a majority of left-wing feminists on this forum. Not to be surprised really, our education does gear us towards this view. Shame they can't think for themselves.

I dont need some bloke on the internet who I will never meet to tell me that I'm not happy. You're the one who's not happy, evidently. Frankly, it never sounds as if you are. You just seem angry and bitter all the time. You are forever complaining about this, about that, this is wrong, that is wrong, etc... you sound, if I'm honest, like the most boring person I could ever converse with. Lay off the drugs.
right wing people on this forum definitely do seem to voice their opinions louder. I'm not really into politics, but I do kind of consider myself to be more left wing than right. theres a few libertarians who are obsessed with military weapons and the like, that ive seen a few times, which frankly is just acting too macho for them to be secure.

It seems pretty balanced to me.

From what I've seen on TSR its fairly balanced, from my experience at university however the only students who seem vocal are socialists, marxists/communists and anarchists.

The far left student body seem far too angsty and probably even themselves know that as soon as they graduate and enter the real world will become very moderate realising all that time spent 'campaigning' at university was just a waste of time when they could have been having fun like the rest of us .
I have noticed a few right wing people here but not too many. I am a lefty myself...then again that is prob quite obvious...I did choose the name Peace Bunny.

I think this place is rather right wing yes.
Though to be honest ever since this stupid economic problem came up everyone seems to be heading down the route of right wing, meh.
I have more respect for people on here who just get on with talking to people about anything and everything, and it takes a while before you by chance discover their political preferences. Too many users on here seem to have no personality and no conversational skill other than to harp on about their political views which are usually ridiculously exaggerated and narrow minded, and if someone else isn't as obsessed by revolutionising society like they are, you get dubbed politically ignorant, which is just their way of boosting their own egos and convincing themselves "I know more about politics than these people therefore their opinions don't matter, and I'm the one who's going to be admired for rebelling with my vast knowledge and constant flow of opinion."

What members like that seem to forget is that politics doesn't only affect those who have nothing in their personality than political fury. The whole point of politics is to run the country in the most effective way possible; of course there are massive variations in opinion as to what that is, but whatever political party or standpoint or theory or whatever else gains power, there are going to be those who agree and those who don't. Politics can be changed. I'm always reading people complaining about how Labour are embracing ideals which used to be associated with the Tories, and vice versa. The extreme left and right have ridiculously wide variations within themselves which contradict their ideal as a united rebellious minority. No-one can tie themselves to one political belief because every human mind is different, and everyone has to form their own combinations of political ideas, and decide which party best matches them when they go to vote. But in everyday life, we encompass so many political ideas each that it's impossible to live every day abiding to one political title. Yet on TSR, it seems that as soon as someone mixes party ideas, or doesn't know every detail of a political leader's rule, policies, tax rates and so on, you are labelled as politically ignorant and told by these arrogant, self-labelling caricatures of young people that you have no right to your opinion.

Everyone can say what they like about politics, whether they are the Prime Minister or someone who doesn't know what left and right wing mean. Because politics is about IDEAS, it is about OPINIONS, it is about discussion of what society should be, and if the ideas are possible, how they could be brought about. Just because people aren't knowledgeable about every political figure's life story, the behind-the-scenes motives of MPs, or anything else, doesn't mean they can't voice their opinion. People with ideas of who they'd like to vote for and why, who don't feel the need to form their entire existence around a few words to describe their narrow political view, gain no respect on these forums; not from me, anyway, and not from most people I speak to regularly.

Try living a little in the real world and letting political views come naturally to you, instead of dedicating your existence to typing on and on about these absurdly huge ideas of what "society" is and how it needs to be re-invented, and claiming that no-one has the right to argue against you because they clearly know nothing. No, some of us don't know every little detail of every political figure in the world. But God, at least we live day to day in the real world- instead of endless complaining about society, we actually experience it with an open mind. Some people on these forums need to try that sometime.

"While we’re at it, there are systems for a reason in this world. Economic stability, interest rates, growth. It’s not all a conspiracy to keep you in little boxes, alright? It’s only the miracle of consumer capitalism that means you’re not lying in your own ****, dying at 43 with rotten teeth. And a little pill with a chicken on it is not going to change that. Now come on... **** off."

More right-wing, but that's probably just relative to other forums I visit.
Actually I have to say I used to define myself by my political views etc, "politics" used to be one of my main interests, but I really hate it now (Apart from reading and official events) IRL (its fun online XD), its impossible to have a good impromptu debate with someone and its such a divisive topic. I wish people would just stfu about it and leave it to be discussed via the proper channels. It really grates me irl when people tell me their political positions. Wow great, you told me you're a Lib Dem, why don't you tell me your hair colour next?

Apart from smoking. I always have time for people bitching about tobacco laws and taxes :>
